Polar Whale Safari

Did you know that whales migrate towards the Northern Norway coast during winters to feed on herring? If you want to watch these magnificent giants from a close range, then Polar Adventures’ whale safari is for you.

Enjoy the stunning views of whales and other arctic sea mammals aboard a massive boat, MS Capella! This 6 to 7-hour whale watching tour is designed for a minimum of 6 participants. You will be picked up by a team member from Scandic Ishavshotel at Tromsø city centre by 8:00 am.

After a short ride to the harbour, you will board MS Capella and set out for your adventure to Skjervøy. Marvel at the beauty of the blue fjords and the picturesque landscapes from the saloon or the lounge area of the boat.

As it is a day-long tour, the chances of spotting whales are much higher than shorter trips. The guide will also take you to the best spots where whales are generally spotted. Apart from whales, you’ll also see sea eagles and many other birds. Don’t forget to carry your camera as you’re going to get many opportunities to click stunning pictures of Norway’s wildlife. Lots of snacks and warm beverages will be served on board.

The tour will go up to 7 hours depending on the sea conditions.
